Stop that wine!

Project Thirteen is a totally cool wine stopper! Hope you didn't put your needle nose pliers away, 'cause you're going to need them....

Here's what you'll need to complete this project:

  • Wine stopper (we used plastic)

  • Plastic cup

  • Needle nose pliers

  • JB Weld Qwik (or other epoxy glue)

  • Plastic fork

  • Various beads

  • Wine topper

  • 24 gauge craft wire

  • elastic jewelry cord

Mix your epoxy glue according to package directions,

with plastic fork in plastic cup.

Once mixed, place a small amount of epoxy on the top of your stopper.

Hold in place for a few minutes to set.

Set aside to allow glue to cure

(usually 4 hours to overnight).

Cut a piece of 24 gauge wire to bead...

...and string small beads on the wire to make a circle for your topper.

Run the epoxy glue along the edge of your topper and add bead circle.

Hold beads into place a few moments to set.

Rub a paper towel along the edge immediately to remove any excess glue.

Next, bead a short piece of elastic jewelry cord for your dangle.

Attach your elastic cord dangle.

Here's our adorable wine topper....

..and what we spent on this project:

  • Wine stopper (Dollar Tree, 2/$1) - $.50

  • Small beads (Hobby Lobby, approximate cost of beads used) - $1

  • Topper (Hobby Lobby, on sale) - $1
