Bath Salts make an quick & easy impressive gift!

For project eight, we decided to follow our bath theme by making natural lavender bath salts and met with fabulous results!

Here's what you need to complete this project:

  • Epsom salt
  • Mixing bowl
  • Glass container with lid
  • Essential oil (we used lavender)
  • Lavender flowerettes
  • Mixing spoon
  • Ribbon (optional)

Pour Epsom salt into your mixing bowl.

Add essential oil and stir.

Add in lavender flowerettes.

Mix well.

Pour into glass jar and place lid on firmly.

To make our glass container more ornate,
we add a pretty pink ruffle ribbon and secure with glue.

Here's our finished product and a breakdown of what we spent:
  • Epsom salt (Dollar Tree, 2 jars worth is $1.00) - $.50
  • Glass Jar (Dollar Tree) - $1.00
  • Lavender flowerettes (Micheal's $4.00/package, approximately 1/8 used) - $.13
  • Essential oil (Whole Foods Lavender from last project $5.99) - $.25
  • Ribbon piece (Hobby Lobby $5 grab bag) - $.25

Total cost of this project (one jar of natural lavender bath salts): $2.13
